FAQ

1. How do I book a photo session with you?
You can contact me by email at jenandjoon@gmail.com or send a text to (618) 225-0563 to get started.
2. What is your photography style?
My style is a mix of photojournalistic, candid, and fine art.
I love capturing real, unposed moments that tell the true story of your day—those genuine laughs, happy tears, and everything in between. While most of the day is documentary-style, I also take time to create beautiful, artistic portraits and detail shots that feel timeless but still totally you.
3. How long does it take to receive the final edited images?
The turnaround time for receiving final edited images can vary depending on the session.
• Portrait or Family Sessions: Typically 1 to 2 weeks
• Weddings or Large Events: Usually 4 to 8 weeks
• Commercial or Brand Shoots: Often 1 to 3 weeks, depending on complexity
• Rush Editing: Available for an additional fee, which can reduce turnaround to a few days
4. HOW DOES THE PAYMENT PROCESS WORK?
For weddings, a 10% deposit is required to secure your date.
The remaining balance can be paid anytime before the wedding day—or on the day itself, whichever works best for you. I accept payments via cash, Venmo, or Cash App.
For all other sessions, payment is due on the day of your session or earlier if you prefer.
Need to split the payment into installments? No problem—just let me know, and we can set something up ahead of your booking date.
5. Do you charge a travel fee?
I’m based in the St. Louis Metro area and typically shoot within a 40-mile radius at no additional cost. For weddings, I travel up to 100 miles round-trip without a fee.
If your location is beyond those distances, there’s a small travel fee of $0.25 per additional mile. For longer distances or special cases, we’ll figure out a custom rate based on location and travel needs.
Feel free to reach out with your location details, and I’ll be happy to give you an exact quote!
6. Who chooses the location—the photographer or the client?
I’m happy to do either! If you already have a spot in mind that’s meaningful to you, that’s perfect. If not, I can suggest a variety of great locations based on the look and feel you’re going for—whether it’s urban, nature, or something in between. We’ll work together to find the right fit!
